We Hate To Waste

Project Description

Matt Koltermann, a longtime friend and colleague, called on me to assist him with building a new site for Jacquie Ottman, the sole proprietor of Green Marketing and We Hate To Waste, a blog dedicated to promoting waste reduction practices. Jacquie needed a fresh, clean design that was responsive and allowed a user to easily navigate her trove of content, focused on several categories.

Jacquie preferred bold, primary colors and wanted to incorporate existing graphics into her new site, as well as easy access to her mailing list and social channels. We were on the hunt for the the right magazine style for her homepage as a landing pad for the user to jump into her abundant backlog of content and blog posts.

Modernizing Jacquie’s blog was a fun, challenging project and it was a perfect vehicle for collaboration with a mentor and colleague.

I especially love working on cause-oriented sites, such as those for nonprofits, social enterprises, and more. If you need web development for a social impact related project, I would love to hear from you!
